Newspeech Edit

This is a greeting that is acceptable for newspeech. It is especially useful because of its etymological root in Latin: it was a cry of despair.[1] "Hey" therefore becomes especially useful in informing the people around you whether you are in a triggable mood. When in a pleasant mood, use ey.

Reason Edit

Hello is etymologically problematic; therefore other more acceptable greetings are necessary.

Hey derives from Latin as "a cry of grief or fear."[2]
